North Park University was founded in 1891 by the Evangelical Covenant Church (ECC), a rapidly growing, multi-ethnic denomination with over 800 congregations in the United States and Canada and ministries on five continents.

The Divison of Student Engagement encompasses a variety of offices, resources, and experiences available to you and your parents to support and encourage you in your transition to college life and throughout your time at North Park.
Housing services
North Park’s on-campus living options include residence halls, apartments, and houses. No matter where you live, you’ll benefit from the security, community, and amenities offered by the University.
- Dining on Campus: All students have access to our full-service dining hall, a grab-and-go shop in Viking Café, and Einstein Bros Bagels in the Bickner Bistro
- Campus Wireless Network: All living areas are covered by North Park’s WiFi, along with all campus classrooms, offices, Brandel Library, and even some of outdoor spaces

With support and direction from Swedish Covenant Hospital, North Park University’s Health Services provides a variety of services for students to improve or maintain their health, obtain appropriate medical care, and make healthy life choices.

Home to North Park athletes of all kinds—casual, club, intramural, and intercollegiate—Helwig Recreation Center offers 68,000 square feet of sports equipment and facilities, along with wellness and fitness programs.
