With 14,000 students registered on 54 Bachelor and Masters courses and eight faculties, South Westphalia University of Applied Sciences is one of the largest of its kind in North Rhine Westphalia. Despite this, it is a friendly studying environment at its campuses in Hagen, Iserlohn, Meschede, Soest and Lüdenscheid. Professors are always willing to listen, everyone gets involved and successes are celebrated together.

Prices for accommodation vary a lot. Rooms in the students resident hall in Hagen can be obtained for 180 Euros per months, but prices on the private sector are a lot higher.
Usually foreign students in Hagen, Iserlohn or Soest can get a room in the students residence halls. Since the number of international students at the Fachhochschule Südwestfalen is increasing, these halls are often fully booked.
The Centre for IT & Networking manages the computing and communication ressources and infrastructure.
Negative sides: First there you will be faced with unprofessional staff. Second, they will never accept their mistakes. Here a lot of racist teachers. The library is very small. There are not any foundations or support for students. Positive sides: Easy to attend, easy to transfer your points from a previous university, live in Germany.
University provides me a lot of great opportunities to develop my skills in different spheres. During this year I have improved a lot my professional skills.
An excellent university in terms of transferring knowledge to students and at the same time, it provides a platform where international students connect to each other.
