Lebanon Valley was founded on February 23, 1866, with classes beginning May 7 of that year and its first class graduating in 1870.
Academic Programs: 40+ undergraduate majors plus self-designed majors and a range of minors, concentrations, and pre-professional options; graduate degree programs in athletic training, business administration, music education, physical therapy, science in STEM education, and speech-language pathology.

During summer 2016, Bishop Library underwent a dramatic renovation thanks to a generous gift from the Bishop Foundation. The reimagined space includes a greater number of collaborative group study spaces equipped with digital technology and wall surfaces for sharing and generating ideas, among other innovative changes.
Lebanon Valley College requires all residential international students to maintain medical insurance that provides coverage in the United States. Therefore, enrollment in the Lebanon Valley College sponsored health insurance plan is automatic and the cost of the policy is included in the student’s tuition and fees invoice.

The purpose of the Intramural Sports program at Lebanon Valley College is to provide healthful exercise, promote leisure education, enrich social competence, and develop group loyalty for the entire college community. All eligible students, staff, and faculty are encouraged to participate fully in the program.
More than 90 organizations, including music and theater groups, student newspaper, sororities and fraternities; and club and student-run organizations of almost any kind, including pre-professional, political, athletic, recreational, religious, language-focused, and service-relate groups. More than 80% of students are involved in athletics or the performing arts.
