Shaping Future Doctors with Global Standards
Coming from a small Pacific Island country, I was looking for a university that could give me world-class medical training while also preparing me to give back to my community. Tianjin Medical University has done exactly that. The program is challenging but rewarding, with a good balance of theory and clinical practice. I�ve especially appreciated the early exposure to hands-on skills and the chance to learn in a multicultural environment. Meeting students from around the world has made me more adaptable and confident about working in different healthcare settings. The teachers are approachable and genuinely care about our progress, which makes a big difference when you�re far from home. Overall, TMU provides the tools, knowledge, and support that future doctors like me need to meet global standards.

I WAS ONLY ABLE TO STUDY FOR 2 YEARS PHYSICALLY WHILE THE REST OF MY STUDY WAS DONE ONLINE DUE TO COVID AND MY OVERALL EXPERIENCE IS GREAT. Housing services
- Students in Weijin Road Campus are accommodated in three dormitory centers, namely, Liulitai dormitory area, Qilitai dormitory area, and Pengxiang apartment. About 10,000 registered students live in those thirteen dormitory buildings.
Library services
Located in Peiyang Park Campus, Zheng Dong Library was designed by Tianjin University alumni, Zhou Kai and his team. He was also the chief Chinese architect of Beijing Olympic Park. On the occasion of the 120 year anniversary of Tianjin University, Zheng Dong, who was admitted to TJU in 1988, donated RMB 50,000,000 to the education fund as a gift.
Campus life
The Main Building in TJU Peiyang Campus is designed by Cui Kai and his team, a member of the China Engineering Academy, who was admitted to TJU in 1981 and once served as the Chinese chief planner of Olympic venues. The design concept of the main building is open. The building and square library together form a layout of “round sky and square land", thus “echoing each other at a distance”in space.
Sports facilities
Tianjin University organizes extracurricular activities for all the students from over 20 colleges as well as supervises and guides more than 30 student sport associations. Also Tianjin University undertakes training, management and competition work for four high-level sport teams and twelve ordinary student teams.
Student clubs
There are a total of more than 300 student associations at school-level and college-level in TJU which include 50 function-oriented school-level associations and 80 interest-oriented school-level associations.
