University of Evry-Val D'Essonne

The University of Evry-Val d'Essonne was created in 1991 as part of the development of higher education in the Ile-de-France region.

Master's Programmes



The University offers courses in Science, Technology, Law, Economics, Management and the Social Sciences.


The twenty-two research laboratories at the University, twelve of which are mixed units with the CNRS, the INSERM, the INRA and the CEA, work in four fields :

  • “Life Sciences”,
  • “Fundamental Science and Engineering”.
  • “Information and Communication Science and Technology”
  • “Human and Social Sciences”

Library services

The Library owns 100 000 documents (books, audio CDs, DVDs...) that may be consulted on the premises or taken out, and also 1100 newspapers that can only read on the premises.

It grants access to online databases and electronic newspapers in the disciplines taught at the University.

Sports facilities

The Sports and Physical Activities Service (SUAPS: Service Universitaire des Activités Physiques et Sportives) in collaboration with the Sports Science Department (STAPS) and the University Sports Association (Evry-ASU: Association Sportive Universitaire) offer the students a variety of ways to practise sport.

The campus location (Évry) was average. Some buildings were new like the main campus library, and others were old like the Sociology department. Among all the courses, many didn't feel truly related to the objective of the Master. We had only a few dealing with environnemental issues (these specific courses were really interesting) but other courses dealt only with general...

I loved studying languages but unfortunately, the general atmosphere was not that great. The pandemic did not help with the conditions. Some of the equipment was outdated. Some teachers were supposed to teach us things but they did not.
