History

Blaise Pascal University has five Faculties (called “U.F.R.”, Unités de Formation et de Recherche); two Schools of Engineering; one University Institute of Technology and one Teacher Training Faculty.

Education

Research

The university offers its 16,000 students courses (B.A./B.Sc., M.A./M.Sc. to Ph.D. level) in its extensively multidisciplinary fields of the Arts, Languages and the Humanities, Exact and Natural Sciences and Technology, Sports Science and Engineering.

Clermont-Ferrand’s central position in France and Europe together with its good rail, road and air links make it a perfect starting point for visiting major French and European cities (3.5 hours from Paris, 2.5 hours from Lyon, 3 hours from Montpellier).

Housing services

The city is the capital of the Auvergne region by virtue of its ancient historical traditions and considerable economic and industrial development. It is home to the Michelin tyre company. Other large companies in the region include Limagrain, Alcan-Rhenalu, Aubert and Duval, Volvic, the ‘aeronautic maintenance’ centre, Trelleborg, Capgemini, Goodyear-Dunlop and Socopa. If you are looking for an internship, there are ample opportunities.

The town is not so expensive Strongly recommended if you want to make an experience abroad but not for this course of studies.

Not very expensive, compared to Swedena dn the UK it was pretty cheap. I spend approximately 300-400 euro/month on food.

No! I would change nothing.. My advice is to actually trust the people around them (like the staff, colleagues, teachers) and let them know for any kind of problems or help needed...it will make your school life easier.. About social life..never say no to anything! Erasmus is about being spontaneous and give to everything (and everybody) a chance! Meet as many new people you can, travel with st...
