History
Lawrence Technology University was founded in 1932 in the middle of an innovation explosion that would change the world. With the help of Henry and Edsel Ford, who provided space next to their Model T assembly plant, LTU realized the dream of preparing leaders for the new technical era. Lawrence Tech students have been changing the world ever since.

At Lawrence Technological University, we take our fun just as serious as our studies and, we’ll admit, sometimes combine the two. A live concert at a campus rally and a robotics contest just might happen in the same day.
Sports facilities
NOTHING ADDS TO CAMPUS LIFEquite like college athletics, and Lawrence Tech has plenty. With men’s and/or women’s teams in basketball, soccer, lacrosse, hockey, bowling, volleyball, and cross country, LTU athletics give students of all interests something to rally behind outside of the classroom. LTU is a member of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics(NAIA), Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC), and in the Michigan Collegiate Hockey Conference (MCHC).

Whatever your particular interests or needs, you can find a campus activity or organization that will provide not just fun and fellowship but also opportunities to hone your professional and leadership skills. Joining a campus club or organization can help you prepare for life after college or simply provide a great way to relax and recharge. Accreditation
Lawrence Technological University is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission and a member of the North Central Association. The NCA accreditation report is on file in the University’s library and is available for public review by patrons. Various graduate and undergraduate degree programs in architecture, interior architecture, interaction design, graphic design, business administration and management, chemistry, and engineering are additionally accredited through appropriate national professional agencies.
