Institut Mines-Télécom Business School (formerly Telecom Ecole de Management before its rebranding in 2018) being a part of Institut Mines-Telecom (the number ONE group of engineering and management graduate schools in France) is a highly selective and prestigious, public, socially inclusive Management School called The Grandes École.

About

History

In 1979, the old Institut National des Télécommunications began training the engineers and managers at France Télécom (today known as Orange) on the same campus. As the two different business cultures starting mixing together and sharing their work, new synergies began to emerge. 

Education

Institut Mines-Télécom Business School has always been at the forefront of digital and societal transformations.  As a Public and socially inclusive higher education institution, we take great pride in welcoming and individually supporting students from a wide range of backgrounds.  We help them develop the inter-communication skills and personal qualities required for a successful future in a constantly changing world. 

Research

Nowadays, the new media convergence landline vs mobile, media vs telecoms and the web 2.0’s frame our society. 

Looking at those changes, Télécom Ecole de Management’s research is outstanding. Its expertise in economics, management, social and human sciences explores the ICT’s market trends, economical, managerial and social involvements challenging debates on digital issues.

Our research is based on three principles :

  • Know-how interdisciplinary, that is: sharing experiences, knowledge, and methods
  • Reactivity - the activities we get involve in evolve fast (ICT, new media, etc.) and are constantly reshaped by innovation
  • Research projects and partnerships in Management & IT

Services

Housing services

Located on the university campus of Telecom Ecole de Management and Telecom SudParis, a 15-minute walk from Evry city center and the RER railway station, the MAISEL (Maison des Elèves) welcomes you to a green campus covering five hectares. You will find all the support services nearby: shopping mall, restaurants, cinemas.

Accommodation is guaranteed for all the international students in single occupancy rooms with a private bathroom. Each room has a full bath, refrigerator, closets, small furnishings and a telephone. Bed linen is also furnished, although towels are not. Kitchen and laundry facilities are situated on the ground floor of each building and are common to all students.

ICT services

All rooms have high-speed, broad band Internet. For your security, access to each MAISEL building is controlled with a code.

Student Life

Campus life

Located on the university campus of Telecom Ecole de Management and Telecom SudParis, a 15-minute walk from Evry city center and the RER railway station, the MAISEL (Maison des Elèves) welcomes you to a green campus covering five hectares. You will find all the support services nearby: shopping mall, restaurants, cinemas…

The on-campus restaurant is open from Monday to Friday. For an average price of EUR 4.00 per meal, a great choice of dishes is offered for lunch: starters, main dish, dairy products, desserts.

Sports facilities

With so many clubs on campus you’ll be able to find your sport, whether it be football, rugby, volleyball, basketball, handball, boxing, tennis, table tennis, badminton, futsal, kick-boxing, self-defence, Zumba, beach volley or bodybuilding and you’ll also have the opportunity to take part in inter-school competitions and tournaments.

Student clubs

Over 60 student associations and clubs exist on campus. Shared with Telecom SudParis, student associations and clubs cover a wide range of activities: sports, culture, entertainment, economics, charities, science/technology ... Student government (the BDE (Bureau des Elèves) in French), is responsible for managing all student associations and clubs. Its budget is the fourth highest in all of France.

The admission and settlement processes were really easy with the help of the International Office. The campus was quite rich in terms of social facilities and events, but this can't be said for the daily life needs. The lecturers were well-trained and knowledgeable and the classes were interesting. It was totally a worthwhile experience.
