Services

Housing services

Accommodation may be on campus or off campus, either in private room, which mainly is available for post-graduate students, or student shared. Male and female students are accommodated at separate halls of residence on or off campus. Over 90 percent of the single male and female students, applying for accommodation, are now housed at one of the existing halls of residence.

Student Life

Campus life

  • Shohada on-campus dormitory which is a four-storey building block for male students.
  • Kosar dormitory is composed of two four-storey building blocks, one of which accommodates post-graduate students and the other one is mainly housing first-year undergraduate students.
  • Fadak dormitory composed of a five-storey building block is particularly designed for female students on campus.
  • Valiasr off-campus dormitory complex composed of one five-storey building blocks as well as two newly constructed four-storey building blocks. The new blocks are only available for post-graduate students

Sports facilities

Physical Training and Extracurricular Activities Branch is organized as a unit under the supervision of Vice-Chancellor for student affairs. The Branch is concerned with athletic activities of the students on and off campus. The University of Tabriz Gymnasium and Sport Complex include the following facilities:

  • Three Tennis courts.
  • Chess room enjoying a professional library.
  • A grand Table-tennis room.
  • Weight lifting hall.
  • Grand stadium composed of football playing field with track and field area and accommodation for approximately 10000 spectators along with other facilities such as body building hall enjoying a full range of modern equipment, wrestling hall, Judo and gymnastic saloons on and off campus.

As culturally-diverse environment as it is, there are some disadvantages to it. As there are mostly knowledgeable professors, yet some without good manners or attitude. My best experiences were with the senior or M.A. students, as I got along with them and found my true ambitions in literature. I also found out the most important lesson, that one's grades are not related...

i thought there was too much theory courses and unfortunetly 0 lab courses. i currently enjoy working in the lab for my thesis but we have a lot of economical issues here.therefore i am looking forward to new experiences and adventures all over the world.
