Shiraz University, with a history of more than half a century, is one of the largest and most important universities in the country, which is also the research hub of the country.

About
History
Shiraz University was founded in 1325 (1907) with the establishment of the School of Health, the purpose of which was to train specialists in medical sciences during a 4-year course.
Education
The university offers 80 bachelor's degrees, 183 master's degrees, 102 specialized doctoral programs and one professional doctoral program. As a comprehensive university, Shiraz University is responsible for training efficient faculty members for research and higher education centers in the country. Shiraz University now has 16 faculties and a higher education center, and several faculties will be set up in the near future

Library services
The Central Library and Documentation Center, a prosperous site in Shiraz University is one of the largest libraries in Iran which is made by considerable efforts during several years. The substructure of Central Library and the Documentation Center is about 11,000 square meters which is designed in four floors.
Medical services
The Counseling and Psychotherapy Center of Shiraz University uses the capabilities of the faculty members of the Faculty of Educational Sciences and Psychology and other experienced specialists in the following fields: Counseling and psychotherapy services, Treatment of Depressive, Anxiety, Personality Disorder, Sleep Disorder, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Sexual Problems, Drug Abuse and more.

Campus life
Shiraz University International Campus started operating in February 2004. At first, this unit was set up with only 3 classes and 7 professors, and during 10 years, the total number of students has reached about 1700 people. This unit accepts students for the academic year of 1995 in 76 major
Sports facilities
The Department of Championship and Public Sports, the dormitory for boys of the Department of Physical Education of Shiraz University, plans and implements championship and public sports programs with the aim of healthy recreation for male students.

The student organization organizes various socio-political and cultural activities such as: socio-political lectures, debates, open-minded chairs and… for different tastes among students and academics. Elections of the Central Council of Organizations are held every year and interested students can join these student organizations. The student organizations of Shiraz University are as follows:

Shiraz University is located in a really nice place at the heart of a mountin, near the Eram Garden. This is so great because you will have easy access to a calm place for studying or maybe to blow off steam. Be prepare for small climbing as well. It has grand professors who will teach you as accurate as it is possible in a professional atmosphere.
