Founded in 1999 in the USA, the ICD Academy for Cultural Diplomacy is an international, not-for-profit, non-governmental organization with headquarters in the USA and in Berlin. The ICD´s ultimate goal is to promote global peace and stability by strengthening and supporting intercultural relations at all levels.
The Center for Cultural Diplomacy Studies offers educational and academic programs in partnership with leading universities, enabling students to explore, analyze and experience cultural diplomacy both in theory and in practice. The CCDS focuses in particular on exploring the balancing between hard and soft power, the process of globalization in an interdependent world, international economics & business multiculturalism, intercultural dialogue & exchange, human rights, religion. As a whole, they investigate the ability for culturally based initiatives to further mutual understanding and in turn to foster global peace and stability.
The major objectives of the ICD are to extend current research, programs and practices in the field of cultural diplomacy and create a platform to promote and sustain inter-cultural dialogue at all levels. Professional Development training Program - During the Professional Development training program, students will be able to create and implement their own events and programs on Cultural Diplomacy. This professional experience will allow students the opportunity to immediately apply the knowledge they have gained in the in the professional world. This also provides valuable relevant professional experience, contacts and relationships that can assist students in preparing for their future careers.

The ICD Academy has Students dorms on Campus, offering students affordable accommodation in Berlin, starting from 320 Euros/Month (per Person in double big shared room), 350 Euros/month (small single room), 400 Euros/Month for mid size rooms, 450 Euros/month for standard size room, and 550 Euros/Month for big size rooms. Living on Campus is not only convenient with the proximity to the classes, but adds also to the international and multicultural environment.
Berlin Campus is composed of the Main campus building, with classrooms, students lounge, conference rooms, and an Atrium for students casual gatherings and various cultural events which are hosted by the ICD Academy for the International Community in Berlin. The gardens provide the students possibilities to hang around together, for sports and fun activities, as grilling together, or just gathering outside.
On Campus the students can reside in the Campus dorms, creating an environment of Global Village.
The CCDS Degree Programs operate under a joint partnership between the Academy for Cultural Diplomacy and leading European universities. The Degrees are all awarded by the Universities, which are recognized as fully accredited institutions of higher education with the right to award university degrees, are part of the Bologna Process set in place by the European Commission.
