After many years of offering courses at separate locations in Fort Wayne, Indiana University and Purdue University opened the combined campus of Indiana University-Purdue University Fort Wayne in 1964.

IT Services operates and maintains the components of a campus network, including the wired and wireless networks and security appliances that protect it. A number of network resources are made available to faculty, staff, and students.

Medical services

Healthcare in the United States is very expensive. A simple visit to a doctor can cost hundreds of dollars, and staying in the hospital for a couple of days may cost a fortune. Therefore, health insurance is required at Purdue Fort Wayne for all international students. The Higher Learning Commission (HLC) of the North Central Association of Schools and Colleges (NCA) is one of six agencies in the United States that provide institutional accreditation on a regional basis. Institutional accreditation evaluates an entire institution and accredits it as a whole. The Commission accredits approximately 1,100 institutions of higher education in a 19-state region and is recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.

The professors were very down to earth people who cared about their students and I was always able to go to them to discuss problems I was having. The professors were people from very prestigious schools (Cornell, Oxford, Etc), but they were very welcoming and eager to help you succeed. If you...
