Helpful staff are ready available to discuss and plan with students:
The University of Rouen does not directly provide student housing, as is the case in other countries like the United States. In France, students that would like to obtain affordable housing should go through the state agency CROUS. Most often, students rent an independent studio that is accompanied with a small bathroom and kitchenette or a single room with a shared kitchen and bathroom. CROUS offers student housing at numerous sites in proximity to University of Rouen campuses.
The University of Rouen offers multiple resources for students to stay healthy, both physically and mentally. At our Health Centers, students can stop-by or make an appointment to learn about health education pertaining to drugs, alcohol, STDs, stress, insomnia, skin issues and contraception. Students will find information on effects, symptoms, prevention and treatment. For students with addictions, support for quitting is provided for free and under confidentiality.
SUAPS, known in French as Service Universitaire des activities physiques et sportives, is provided by the University of Rouen as an outlet for students to exercise, stay healthy, and meet new friends. Students can learn new sports and explore the French language in a non-academic setting. SUAPS aims at promoting healthy life choices in order for students to excel academically and personally.
Sports activities include badminton, ping-pong, basketball, volleyball, tennis, dance and much more!
The Student Center aims at promoting and providing cultural diversity. The center is equipped with a theater, an amphitheater, conference rooms, numerous artistic practice rooms, and an art gallery. Within the center, students will find posters, brochures and other useful information concerning cultural activities on campus as well as in the Normandy region.
