Personalized education and top research professors
It’s a demanding degree for those passionate about science, but it really pays off. In high school, I was far from a top student; I was consistently below average and unmotivated. I believe studying at a public school in a smaller Mexican city gave me the opportunity to become more disciplined and to be surrounded by people who relied on education to break the cycle of poverty. The projects were all based on the needs of the rural population in Michoacán, enabling me to identify the solutions that Mexico desperately needs. I appreciated that my teachers were not only professors but also active researchers, which ensured the classes always focused on practical applications such as CFD methods, LCA, or semiconductor development. If I could change one thing, it would be the connection to industry, as it was non-existent and students struggled to secure employment upon graduation. For me, it was a privilege that resulted in an acceptance letter from my dream program in the Netherlands; this undergraduate degree served as a springboard to pursue my aspirations at the master's level. I am eternally grateful to my professors and my colleagues, as they are the ones who truly embody and sustain the education; they are the university itself. I hope many more generations will pursue the dream of building a sustainable world through Materials Science.
Excellent educative system
The best school in Mexico for any area. Currently studying the Neurology course as a medical specialization.
International Bussiness Report: UNAM
I really liked the way the whole program was structured; the classes were very dinamic and the teachers always focused on giving out practical and useful knowledge through the classes they taught. I think the campus was also very beautiful; with big green areas available to everybody, a library with a vast collection of relevant titles, and open workshops for undergraduate, graduate and postgraduate research on various career paths. The key aspect they could improve on, though, is definitely the timetables and overall organization of the program: there were times when the faculty was taken by students, inhibiting us from taking classes properly, and the scheduled duration of the program doesn't seem enough to cover all the contents that are predicted to be taught in it.
