The Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration (RANEPA) was founded by presidential order on September 20, 2010. This foundation involved the merger of two previously existing academies: The Academy of National Economy (ANE), which was established in 1977, and the Russian Academy of Public Administration (RAPA), established in 1991.


  • The Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration (RANEPA) offers 80 degree programs in the areas of social science, economic and humanities. These include 21 programs at the bachelors level and four with a specialist degree.
  • RANEPA currently offers 16 graduate programs incorporating 93 concentrations in the social sciences, economics and humanities. Enrollment in the graduate programs is offered to graduates of undergraduate, specialist, and masters programs or to those who have significant professional experience and wish to continue their education.

  • Analysis and simulation of the social and technological environment of modern business
  • Development of methods for analyzing the Internet community opinions;
  • Development of methods for determining preferences of different actors in the business social and technological environment, algorithms for implementation and testing based to determine educational preferences in the Russian-language segment of social networks

Student services

Extra-curricular activities play an important role at RANEPA. Beyond the classroom there are a multitude of opportunities for self-fulfillment. Upon enrollment students are offered opportunities to participate in sports events, intellectual battles, various competitions and special interest clubs.

Housing services

On RANEPA Moscow campus, students are assigned to double rooms that include a shared bathroom, mini-fridge, TV, and bed and a study desk for each student. Each residence floor is equipped with a kitchen, recreation room, and resident assistant’s quarters, who offers help with everyday issues.

Library services

The library stock exceeds 1,000,000 items in Russian and foreign languages. The history of the RANEPA research library dates back to the XX-th century. The library stock originates from the library of the A.L.Shanyavsky Moscow City People’s University (1908–1918).

Student Life

Sports facilities

RANEPA organizes various sports that include ice hockey, football, volleyball, karate and basketball; chess tournaments and other competitions. RANEPA’s teams are successful in university competitions. A group of cheerleaders support our teams and thrill fans with their skill.

Student clubs

RANEPA is more than cutting-edge academic programs, lectures and seminars by top professors and grueling exams: it also offers the many attractive opportunities for student social life! Making student life enjoyable is the task of the Student Council, that brings students together on the basis of common interests. RANEPA student community organizes activities to develop key qualities in our students, such as initiative, self-confidence, leadership and teamwork. The mission of The Student Council is to provide as comfortable conditions for students’ education, development and recreation as possible.

During my education in Russia I succeed not only in academic activities but also in studding. I had participated in debates, spots (soccer, boxing and chess competition), we were presenting our Academy outside the University, for example: every New Year we visited orphan house, gift them some candies, toys and presented our concert to make them happier. Now I remember...

I had a robust major which I chose because of such possibilities as learning languages, choosing minors and participating in field trips. Overall, the studying was okay. If you don't have any passion to change something or learn smth, the prof won't make any efforts to make the audience interested. Everything depends on you which is realistic yet it surely does not cost...
