Developing managers for both government & business
Studying on the “Public and Municipal Administration (Internal Policy and Leadership)” programme gave me a solid, versatile management background that works equally well in the public sector and in large corporations. The curriculum combines economics, law, management, political science and digital skills, so you learn to understand how both government institutions and modern companies actually function in practice. A big advantage of the programme is that it does not lock you into one career track: the same competencies in strategic planning, project management and leadership are directly applicable whether you work in a ministry, a state‑owned company or a private corporation. I especially appreciated the balance between theory and practice: case studies, group projects, public speaking and communication training, as well as internships. This helps you to see yourself as a universal manager who can move between state and business. If I could suggest one improvement, it would be to add even more international and corporate‑focused case studies, as many graduates will work with global companies and cross‑border projects.
Great job prospects
I study at the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration. The curriculum is designed to provide a solid foundation in economics and public administration, with a strong emphasis on practical applications. Professors are often leading experts in their fields, offering valuable insights that bridge theory and real-world scenarios. The campus is equipped with modern facilities, and the library resources are extensive, supporting research and study. Moreover, the diverse student body fosters an environment of collaboration and exchange of ideas. Networking opportunities abound, with frequent guest lectures from government officials and industry leaders. However, the workload can be intense, requiring strong time management skills. While the rigorous academic environment prepares us well for future careers, it can be overwhelming at times.
Simple, but tasteful
There are a lot of different faculties at my university, which all differ greatly from each other, as a result of which I can judge only my program. Despite the fact that there are lectures from time to time that do not seem useful to me, in general, education is extremely strong. Among other things, developed extracurricular and project activities
