Federation University Australia is the culmination of the former University of Ballarat and the Gippsland Campus of Monash University.The University's history is dating back to 1870.
Federation University Australia acknowledges the traditional owners of the land where its campuses and centres are located. It has set in place measures to address the disadvantage experienced by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in education, employment and opportunity. It has formalised this commitment in the University's Compact with the Australian Government and in its policies, procedures and actions. The Student Support and Services (SSS) Portfolio provides essential services and specialist advice in support of the University's teaching and learning, research and consultancy, and community engagement activities.
The FedUni Living Residences offer comfortable, single fully furnished bedrooms. Communal living areas consist of TV/Lounge room and fully equipped kitchens. Laundry facilities are also available at all residences.
The Library is committed to supporting students to stay in their programs of study by providing targeted and mobile services. We will make it easier for you to reach us when you need to and encourage independence through self-service functions. We are proud that while we provide increasing self-service options that you still appreciate friendly face to face service and value our staff.
ICT Services is responsible for several key databases and the underlying electronic information infrastructure. ICT Services plays a proactive role in planning for the future electronic information and communication needs of the University in an environment that is both dynamic and rapidly expanding.
The Health Centre is accredited with Australian General Practice Accreditation Limited (AGPAL) and provides confidential consultations by appointment to the University community. It is also an accredited travel health and vaccination centre, available to the University community as well as to the general public.
FedUni is regional Victoria's largest education institution, with campuses in Ballarat, Berwick, Gippsland and the Wimmera providing easy access to study, and approximately 1200 staff committed to teaching excellence and student support.
UniSports offers an exciting range of recreation, education and health programs with fully qualified and experienced staff.
