Description

The Vice-Chancellor's Award is a tuition fee scholarship that recognises and supports outstanding academic achievers from specific regions of Asia.

Benefits

The Vice-Chancellor's Award covers 50% of the tuition fees and is initially awarded for a period of two semesters.

One (1) scholarship will be awarded per region (South Asia, Southeast Asia, and China), per semester (March and July and November) intake (a maximum of (3) scholarships will be awarded per region per academic year).

Eligibility

To be considered for this scholarship, applicants must:

  • be a commencing international student
  • be enrolling into a bachelor or masters course in 2026
  • be a citizen of South Asia, Southeast Asia or China
  • have achieved an average mark of 90% or equivalent in prior studies that are the basis of admission. Federation University reserves the right to assess and determine the equivalency and validity of all academic results and GPA calculations in accordance with its own grading and admissions framework
  • be eligible to study in Australia with a valid visa
  • submit a separate scholarship application and participate in an interview process
  • meet the additional terms and conditions.

To maintain the scholarship in the third and subsequent semesters of study, recipients must:

  • maintain a GPA of 6.5 or higher
  • remain enrolled full time in an eligible program at Federation University
  • continue to hold a valid visa for study in Australia
  • comply with all University policies and student conduct requirements.

A separate scholarship application is required and must be submitted by the published deadline. Shortlisted applicants will be invited to participate in an interview as part of the assessment process. The scholarship is awarded based on academic excellence, leadership qualities, and the applicant’s potential to positively contribute to the Federation University community.
