Vistula University (VU) is a non-public higher education institution, operating according to the Polish legal framework, in particular, the Law on the Higher Education Act. VU was founded in 1992, under the name of the University of Banking and Insurance in Warsaw, as a second non-public university in Poland.
Vistula University prepares graduates for careers in management, finance and accounting, international relations, economics, philology, journalism, graphic design, architecture, and computer science. By the decision of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, the Faculty of Business and International Relations of the Vistula University, obtained the prestigious scientific ‘category A’. We provide our students with regular employability events, such as job fairs, which allow direct contact between employers and students, guest speakers, as well as career workshops and training sessions, and educational games, all aimed at competences assessment and development.
Vistula University has created the e-Career portal for students and employers. Students, creating a profile on the portal, have the opportunity to perform a test assessing the level of selected competences, creating a CV, and finding job offers. Offers are posted on the portal directly by employers, who have easier contact with students with specific competences.

Vistula University offers the innovative Virtual Learning Environment (VLE). Our new e-learning platform allows students to use multimedia study materials in a simple and intuitive way on all mobile devices. The platform creates a system of support, communication, and sharing knowledge, not only for students and lecturers, but also for administrative employees.
If you have any medical issue, you can visit our University Doctor, who is available on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 09:00 AM to 11:00 AM, and on Saturdays from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Our students can also be under the care of a psychologist.
Vistula University offers a spacious sports hall with an area of over 600 m2, adapted for playing basketball, volleyball, indoor football, badminton, and aerobics (due to an excellent sound system). The university building features modern, professional equipment that will help students stay fit and shape their bodies. Students also have the opportunity to use the tennis courts, located next to the campus.
Science clubs promote the development of various professional competences. Students organise conferences, training sessions, seminars, and lectures, whilst also participating in many scientific events.Social clubs develop interpersonal and communication skills. They organise events, such as the Culture Fest and Global Fest that teach and encourage openness to other cultures. Students learn music and dances from different corners of the world, discover other customs, and taste unique cuisine. They embark on a great journey because cultural diversity enriches and inspires.
Vistula University is accredited by the Polish Accreditation Committee (PKA) - the only statutory body in Poland, responsible for the assessment of quality of education, provided by higher education institutions. Up till now, all programmes have been assessed positively. Our university has a full range of ACCA accreditation. Thanks to this, graduates of Finance and Accounting have the opportunity to get exemptions from all ACCA exams at the Fundamentals level. This allows them to start the process of receiving the ACCA vocational qualifications more quickly, and become a member of this international certification organisation for accounting and finance specialists.
