History
Vistula University (VU; Polish Akademia Finansów i Biznesu Vistula) is a non-public academic higher education institution based in Warsaw, Poland. It was established in 1992 and has achieved its current status through dynamic development and cooperation with other non-public higher education institutions.
Education
Vistula University in Warsaw means prestige, an innovative model of education, guarantee of high-quality education, practice orientated approach and many years of experience in conducting online studies. Research
In December 2015, Vistula University signed a declaration of support for the “European Charter for Researchers” and the “Code of Conduct for the Recruitment of Researchers”.
As the second step in the University’s preparation to apply for the title of HR Excellence in Research, a working group was created to conduct a gap analysis and develop an action plan at the beginning of July 2016. The working group developed two anonymous studies in which employees assessed the level of the University’s compliance with the requirements stipulated in the Charter and the Code.

We aim to strengthen the communication of our alumni with the universities, improving their life and career development, contributing to the development of our students with our alumni, ensuring the continuity of the Vistula University and Vistula School of Hospitality culture, and increasing our alumni’s solidarity.

Student services
- International Office- Support for foreigners in enrolling in studies, accommodation and taking their first steps in Poland.
- Deans Office- Contact in all formal matters related to the course of studies – issuing certificates, student ID cards and diplomas.
- Finance Office- Contact in matters related to tuition payments (Bursar’s Office) and material assistance.
- Career and Practices Department -Contact regarding job offers, internships and work placements (including obligatory); here you will gain support in planning your professional career.
- Technical Assistance- IT Department support (as regards students’ access to the University websites) and technical support for online studies.
Housing services
Vistula Universities provide all students with an option to live in the Vistula dormitory as well as cooperate with private student dorms and companies for apartment rental.
Library services
- The library-information system of the Academic Library of the Vistula University Group (former University of Economics and Computer Science in Warsaw) was established on 1 January 1999.
- During the 25 years of its existence the library has gathered a book collection of over 100 000 volumes and several hundred press titles.
ICT services
Vistula University has an IT system for supporting students and managing the course of study.
Medical services
The University has a medical doctor on campus for students and we also have a psychologist to help students with any mental health related issues.
Campus life
Vistula University has a modern campus located in Ursynow (quiet and green district of capital of Poland, Warsaw). Just 100 metres from metro station it is very convenient to get here. The university has a canteen, barista, vending machines and a gym.
Sports facilities
There is a broad range of sport facilities where University students engage in sports individually or in teams. VU has a modern sports hall (600 m2) for basketball, volleyball, indoor soccer, badminton, table tennis, aerobics and tennis, courts, a well-equipped gym and an open tartan basketball court. Currently the leading and most active sport sections are: rowing, badminton, indoor soccer, volleyball and Wushu.
Student clubs
Student clubs and organizations are set up and supported with the aim of developing the interests and realizing the passions of students of Vistula University. Other clubs include but are not limited to: International Relations club, Social club, Music club, Cinema and Theatre club and Hospitality club. All students are welcome to join and participate in these clubs. Students may also become members of Mentoring program and support new students as well as Ambassador program.
Accreditation
- ACCA - Vistula University is one of the few universities in Poland awarded with the full scope of ACCA qualifications.
- PMI GAC - Management at Vistula University has been awarded by the PMI Global Accreditation Center for Project Management Education Programs (GAC).
- The Faculty of Business and International Relations of Vistula University has the international CEEMAN IQA accreditation .
