History
Escape Studios, based in London’s Design District (North Greenwich) has been at the forefront of creative education since 2002, supplying the industry with studio-ready talent and offering undergraduate degrees, postgraduate masters and short courses in Animation, Games, Visual Effects (VFX), Concept Art and Motion Graphics.

Our Escapees (alumni) form a vibrant, well-connected global community working throughout the animation, video games and VFX industries.
You’ll find Escapees at many of the world’s top VFX and games studios, behind Oscar and BAFTA-nominated films, including Dune, No Time To Die and The Lion King, and hundreds of award-winning films, commercials and video games.
The latest UK data from the Higher Education Statistics Agency reveals Escape Studios has risen to sit within the top 6% of universities for full-time graduate employment. The data also disclosed 90% of all respondents were in full time employment or further study 15 months after finishing their studies.

Student services
You’ll learn industry-standard software from experienced tutors and be supported in and outside of class by our team of Studio Assistants. By the time you're an Escapee looking for professional roles, you'll be very familiar with a studio setup.
Facilities include:- Studio classrooms (15-40 capacity) kitted with industry software you'd find in top studios
- Student Services hub
- Breakout spaces
- Kitchens with fridges, microwaves and tea/coffee/hot chocolate facilities with milk alternatives
- Access to green screen and camera tech
- Multi-faith prayer room
- Epic views of London.
Housing services
North Greenwich has a vibrant student community and there are many accommodation providers a short journey away.

ICT services
Our classrooms are kitted with high-end HP Z Workstation Desktop PCs. We use Eizo ColorEdge monitors which are professional grade, colour-accurate monitors used extensively in the creative industries. We also use Wacom Intuos drawing tablets.
We offer both Windows and Linux - as many VFX studios use Linux. Most of our machines dual boot both operating systems, giving students the choice.
Campus life
Our building is in the heart of the Greenwich Peninsula, in London's pedestrianised Design District. With amazing views of the Thames and Canary Wharf, we're a 3-minute walk from North Greenwich Tube Station, on the Jubilee Line.
There’s a vibrant student community in the area with restaurants, shops, bars and pop-ups close-by.
Student clubs
From the moment you enroll, the Student Experience team is here to support you. Your first point of contact is the Escape Hub on campus, but there are plenty of studio assistants out and about, ready to provide any tech or study support.
Events and get-togethers

- Cinema screenings (sometimes with Q&As from professionals who worked on the films!)

Escape Student Association (ESA)
This is run by students, for students and is a major part of student life at Escape Studios.
- We’re a Rookies Certified School. The Rookies identify international institutions that best prepare students for a career in the creative industries.
- We’re a Houdini Certified School and work closely with SideFX.
- We’re a member of TIGA, the network for games developers and digital publishers and the trade association representing the video games industry.
- Our close relationship with Epic Games led us to become the first Unreal Engine Authorized Training Center in the UK.
