Students, faculty, staff, alumni, and members of the University must use their university or library cards for entry. Access to the Learning Commons after the Library closes is restricted to current HKUST students and staff only, using their own university cards.

The University provides medical and dental services to students. Full-time students can use the Medical Clinic and the Student Dental Clinic upon presenting their student ID cards. These clinics are managed by the Health, Safety, Environment Office (HSEO).

All undergraduate and postgraduate students shall be eligible for Full Membership.
