The research Centres and Institutes operate proactively and by matching commissioners values. Our creativity is reactive to the needs of our partnerships who are the public and private sector educational partners. We engage locally, regionally, nationally and with international partners as our integrated inter-disciplinary provisions grow.
Career
We have a dedicated team of career and employment specialists, who work in partnership with academic colleagues, employers and the Students' Union to prepare you for the world of work. This service is available to all our students and for up to two years after graduation. We don’t just help with employment after you finish at Bucks, we’ve got lots of advice and support if you’re looking for part-time or voluntary work while you’re at uni too.

Business and Management is a very good course
The course is interesting and useful to learn, strengthen, and develop new skills. The staff is always helpful and professional, with strong knowledge of their domain. Classes are interactive and very competitive.
My review
This university gives you a cosy vibe and welcoming atmosphere. You do not feel left out, there is always someone you can reach out to. The lectures are helpful but they do not promote individuality and creative thinking. They teach you the theory but nit how to think for yourself and how to be critical. This is the work you need to do by yourself. However, activities, societies and parties provided by Student Union are higly enjoyable and due to Big Deal all activities are for free.
Very satisfied
It is a great up and coming university and would highly recommend it to anyone looking to get into the sport industry. UCFB is fantastic in specialising in sport media, business, law and marketing as well as offering brilliant coaching opportunities.

Student services
We have a lot to offer – studios for drama, dance and audio purposes, production suites, healthcare simulation labs, a photography studio and a human performance lab.
- We provide four studio spaces at our High Wycombe Campus.
- Rusty’s Radio is broadcast live from the Students’ Union offices at the High Wycombe Campus.
- Our audio and music facilities include state of the art recording studios, ranging from individual edit rooms up to large Pro Tools HD studios with attached live rooms and vocal booths.
- We have a choice of film studio spaces that include audio-visual editing suites, with Final Cut Pro/Studio
Housing services
Coming to university is always a big move. Of course, you'll want the certainty of knowing where you are going to live. You'll also want a place that fits in with your studies and suits your social life, and most of all, you'll want somewhere you'll feel at home.
Rooms in our Covid-safe student accommodation will start at £80 per week and include:
- No deposit, flexible contract period and a public health crisis guarantee
- All utilities, free Wi-Fi and contents insurance
- 24 hr security and on-site pastoral and welfare provision
- 1/3 off University gym membership once lockdown restrictions are lifted
- Bedding, cleaning and welcome packs available on request
Library services
The library service is here to offer students a wide range of learning resources including:
- full text online and print journals
- print and e-books
- The Bucks Knowledge Archive - a digital repository of research output from Bucks.
Medical services
The Human Performance, Exercise and Wellbeing Centre is part of the High Wycombe Campus and brings together our teaching, research and enterprise across health, sport, exercise and wellbeing.The centre comprises of our Human Performance Laboratory (HPL) and our Sports and Wellbeing Clinic, which is accessible to staff, students and the public.
Campus life
You’ll find our impressive campuses in four lively towns just outside London. Wherever you’re based, you’ll have endless places to explore and great travel links to the rest of the UK and beyond.
Our free bus service makes it easy to travel between our High Wycombe and Uxbridge campuses. It also means you can make the most of our Students’ Union, gym and events.
Based in Buckinghamshire or Greater London you’ll be able to enjoy the buzz of London without the stress and cost of living there. Simply hop on a direct train or tube!
And if you want an adventure, jump in the car to visit other great towns and tourist attractions. Or head up the road to Heathrow to escape for a weekend break.
Sports facilities
A wide range of sports and fitness classes take place in our large, versatile sports space on our High Wycombe Campus.
Stretch and relax at Fitness Pilates, work your muscles with Reps and Sets, or squeeze in a quick H.I.I.T workout. Becoming a student member at Gateway Gym is a great way to stay active while you study and find ways to exercise that you love.
Accreditation
In December 2018 we received a Gold accreditation for Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) which recognised the positive impact that our staff and students make to the environment; in the community; and across our campuses.
