Founded in 1923 by the Sisters of Charity of Leavenworth, the University of Saint Mary today is an esteemed applied liberal arts Catholic university.

USM's Overland Park Campus is easily accessible at 4500 College Blvd - just off of Interstate 435.

Campus life
- Maria Hall is open to all students on its first through fifth floors. High-speed internet is standard in our suite-style rooms. Rooms are double-occupancy with a bathroom between every two rooms. All rooms have twin XL beds, desks, chairs, dressers, and large closets.
- Single and private rooms are also available in Maria for sophomores and second-semester freshmen, if space allows.
Sports facilities
The DePaul Fitness Center was renovated in 2020 for the USM community. Student clubs
Student Government Association (SGA)
- The Student Government Association of University of Saint Mary has been formed under this constitution for the following purpose to ensure democratic representation and governance. SGA allocates the student activity funds yearly and acts as the voice of the student body

Saint Mary's University of Minnesota is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission (HLC), a regional accreditation agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
