Founded in 1908, MODUL College was the vocational training school with the longest tradition in tourism and hospitality education worldwide. Seeing the need in higher education in the constantly growing tourism and hospitality sector, Modul University Vienna was accredited by AQ for the first time in 2007.

To live the full MU experience, many students live in dorm residences with private bedrooms and bathrooms and shared living space. There is no student residence on campus, instead, we cooperate with three local private student accommodation providers in prime locations. To make your transition into university life as smooth as possible, MU will help to ensure you have a reserved room before arriving in Vienna. See the accommodations in the city: WIHAST and BASE 19.
The library offers an extensive selection of books, academic journals, and online resources. The library is on campus and accessible at regular opening hours.
The Information Systems Services (ISS) department is responsible for user support and the development and maintenance of the IT infrastructure and internal applications.Computers and Wifi is offered on campus.
The campus is located at beautiful mount Kahlenberg in the north of Vienna next to the vineyards and wild forests. The location makes it possible to do sports close to campus or simply enjoy the view in our terrace. All University buildings, incl. the canteen, are located there. It takes you about 35min by public transport to all popular city stores.
MU students can easily join one of various student clubs. There are no additional fees or requirements to do so. Modul University Vienna encourages all students to participate in non-curricular activities and supports those. Join clubs such as Basketball Club, Football Club, Movie Club, Yoga Society, Wine Society and many more. To start a MU student club you have to register and be approved by the Student Service Center.
The lecturers are always willing to help and advise students in whatever they need regarding the assessments. The topics and modules are all interesting and vary throughout each academic year to give you plenty of variety. Small seminar classes for more involvement. The lecturers get students involved and don't just talk, they get students to talk and get involved too.
