International Max Planck Research School for Ultrafast Imaging & Structural Dynamics

Building on the unique infrastructures in the area of 4th generation light sources and international expertise available in the Hamburg area, the research school is dedicated to training talented young scientists from around the world in this quickly developing field. Besides their own research, IMPRS fellows benefit from scientific workshops and transferable skills training opportunities.

The IMPRS, which was founded in 2011, is currently home to 40 PhD students from 15 countries and who bring backgrounds in Physics, Chemistry and Biology. Supervision and guidance is provided by over 25 PIs who are renowned experts in their fields.
