Student Life

Campus life

With only around 2500 students and a campus of 164 hectares, l'X is a relatively small university, which can be refreshing if you have felt lost in larger institutions. Our students make up a close-knit community and though you will blend in, you certainly will not fade away. Our international students contribute to the diversity of our small community – over 60 different nationalities are represented on campus, with 30% of the student body and 39% of the faculty coming from abroad.

Sports facilities

Sports have always formed a very important part in students' education at École Polytechnique. We truly believe that sports will help you develop qualities and skills such as sense of discipline, leadership, teamwork, spirit of healthy competition and fair play, confidence in oneself and ethics.

Sport is also an excellent way of breaking down barriers and bringing people of different backgrounds together. In particular, we consider sport as one of the best ways to facilitate the integration of international students on campus (and more generally in France).

It was very interesting

A renewable energies program without geothermal energy nor solar concentrated power lessons.

I think that the program should be more oriented in improve each students' singular competences, instead of measuring them with the same standard. The lectures need to be evaluated and conciliated between all the teachers.
