General requirements
The Department of Philosophy normally accepts students for September entry only.
- Admission to MA study in philosophy is normally restricted to students with a strong undergraduate degree in philosophy. Students must have a minimum B+ (6.0) average of the final 30 units of credit (or equivalent) of their Bachelor’s degree. The Department requires a minimum score of 580 on the standard TOEFL test for applicants whose native language is not English. A short sample of written work (about 10 pages) must be submitted with the application. For further information, visit the Department of Philosophy website.
