Master in Finance and Accounting offered by the University of Economics, Prague is a programme developed in 2015 by the Faculty of Finance and Accounting which is a part of the University of Economics, Prague.
Open access to all, who seek a career in an international environment and who wish to become banking and financial services managers, financial analysts, chief accountants, auditors or consultants.
The aim of the study programme “Finance and Accounting” is to gain knowledge in finance and accounting at the level of the standard finance and accounting master’s degree programme at the Faculty of finance and accounting at the University of Economics.
The core profile will focus on issues of:
- corporate finance, financial derivatives, business valuation
- accounting (IFRS), performance management,
- audit and assurance,
- international finance,
- economic and financial aspects of the European economic integration.
The programme, which is a merge of two separate disciplines – finance and accounting, is unusual at the Czech universities, but it is comparable to the similar programmes at foreign universities. Concurrent focus on finance and accounting also increases the graduates’ chances on the labour market as their wider range offers them more job possibilities as well as their greater flexibility.
