The Master’s degree in chemistry and business studies builds on the Bachelor’s degree program. During their studies, Master’s students specialize in one of the areas offered by the Departement of Chemistry at the University of Zurich. At the same time, students also attend modules, seminars and lectures in the field of chemistry and business studies.

About

The structure of the Master’s degree program is flexible in terms of length; students are required to earn a total of 90 credits and the program usually takes three semesters. The Master’s dissertation is ideally written in collaboration with industry or one of the institutes at the Faculty of Economics, Business Administration and IT.

The Master of Science in Chemistry and Business Studies gives students the opportunity to specialize in a direction of their choice and provides them with the skills necessary to work in research and development

    The IELTS – or the International English Language Test System – tests your English-language abilities (writing, listening, speaking, and reading) on a scale of 1.00–9.00. Academic Requirements

The following academic degrees exempt the holder from having to pass any further examinations for admission to the a Master’s degree course:

  • A Bachelor's degree from the Faculty of Science of the University of Zurich in Chemistry and business studies.
  • Corresponding degrees of Swiss and foreign universities which are generally recognized by the Faculty, or recognized by subject. Such degrees are reviewed according to the stipulations of § 3 of the Bologna guideline of the Swiss University Conference.

Acceptance on the Master's degree program in chemistry and business studies requires a BSc in chemistry and business studies from the University of Zurich or an equivalent degree from another recognized university.
