You’ll develop the skills needed to identify strategies available to firms operating at an international level, and develop an understanding of the activities and operations of multinational enterprises. This programme will provide the opportunity for you to study a wide range of topics in international business, from both a theoretical and practical perspective.

The International Business Management course at the University of Huddersfield is designed around both core and optional modules. The core modules cover the fundamentals of international business such as International Economics, Cross-Cultural Management and International Business Environment. A wide range of options in areas such as marketing, international trade, economics and human resource management, offer the flexibility for you to tailor the programme to your personal and career interests. The course also offers an additional route specialising in finance.

The teaching on this programme not only encourages you to develop knowledge of the area, but it also allows you to learn skills in critical thinking and analysis. We use a wide range of teaching styles, from formal lectures to practical experience. Extensive use is made of case studies and current affairs. Modules have different teaching and assessment strategies: in some you will undertake individual work, in others you will work in groups.
