The aim is to design architectural projects with a point of departure in Nordic Architecture. Fields of importance in this regard include tectonic design as well as sustainable architecture. Tectonic design integrates structural, functional and aesthetic parameters whereas sustainable architecture integrates design, aesthetic, technical, functional energy and comfort parameters in an integrated design process shaping high level low energy architecture.

It takes two years to attain a Master of Science (MSc) in Technology (Architecture) , and during this time you will meet a wide range of teachers who will present you with new knowledge in key areas. The educational programme is internationally oriented, and attracts Danish as well as international students. Furthermore the educational programme offers the opportunity of an internship or/and an external study as well as study trips inside and outside Denmark during the semester.

Bachelors with the following degrees are eligible for admission to the Master of Science in Technology (Architecture):

  • Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Engineering (Architecture and Design) from AAU
  • Bygningsdesign (bachelor) DTU
  • Bygningsdesign (diplomingeniør) DTU
  • Bygningsteknik (diplomingeniør) SDU
  • Byggeteknologi (bachelor) DTU
Applicants with an equivalent Danish or foreign degree at a similar level may be admitted subject to individual assessment by the study board. If your bachelor degree does not qualify directly for admission to the master’s programme, the Admissions Office will forward your application for approval by the relevant study board.
