The aim is to design architectural projects with a point of departure in Nordic Architecture. Fields of importance in this regard include tectonic design as well as sustainable architecture. Tectonic design integrates structural, functional and aesthetic parameters whereas sustainable architecture integrates design, aesthetic, technical, functional energy and comfort parameters in an integrated design process shaping high level low energy architecture.
It takes two years to attain a Master of Science (MSc) in Technology (Architecture) , and during this time you will meet a wide range of teachers who will present you with new knowledge in key areas. The educational programme is internationally oriented, and attracts Danish as well as international students. Furthermore the educational programme offers the opportunity of an internship or/and an external study as well as study trips inside and outside Denmark during the semester.
Traineeship & study abroad
Studying the MSc in Technology (Architecture) at Aalborg University in Denmark you are able to undertake an internship on 3rd semester.Internship as student from MSc in Technology (Architecture), AAU
An internship gives you the opportunity to collaborate with a company, institution, etc. regarding your project work. Furthermore an internship enables you to use the theoretical skills you have acquired during first and second semester hands on.
Another option on the 3rd semester at the MSc in Technology (Architecture) is to do an external study. on 3rd semester.Study abroad as student from MSc in Technology (Architecture),AAU
You can also choose to do an external study at another university in Denmark or at a university outside Denmark. The courses followed at the foreign university have to be approved by the Architecture & Design Study Board as an integrated part of your education (in the form of credit transfer).
Job and career
The MSc in Technology (Architecture) combines such skills as creativity, engineering and team work. This combination gives the student the opportunity to influence in which direction he/she wish to head.
Furthermore the education has a close connection and collaboration with companies, institutions etc., which among other things gives the student the opportunity to collaborate with and create close connections to these companies, institutions, etc. This is beneficial for the project work as well as for future carrier opportunities.
