QUT’s Master of Engineering Management equips engineers with practical, real-world skills to advance into leadership and management roles.

You will develop technical expertise in quality control and improvement, decision-support systems, and the management of infrastructure such as transport, water, energy, buildings and telecommunications.

You will also learn to use integrated computer-based systems to manage organisational resources, information and relationships across business functions and external stakeholders.

The course explores strategies for creating, sharing and applying organisational knowledge to support innovation, competitive advantage, collaboration and continuous improvement.

Career

The Master of Engineering Management allows graduates to become specialist engineering managers within their chosen professional field, particularly to become leaders and managers of engineering processes. Graduates can also use the skills and knowledge gained to diversify their capabilities across a broader spectrum of engineering disciplines.

Graduates will be capable of undertaking management-level roles in operations management, quality control management, logistics, supply chain management and other specialised engineering fields.

A completed recognised four-year full-time (or equivalent) bachelor degree in engineering with a minimum grade point average (GPA) score of 4.00 (on QUT's 7-point scale); or
A completed recognised three-year full-time (or equivalent) bachelor degree in engineering discipline with a minimum grade point average (GPA) score of 4.00 (on QUT's 7-point scale) plus at least two years full-time (or equivalent) professional engineering work experience.
