The Graduate Certificate in Professional Communication Management from Royal Roads University has been designed for communication professionals directly responsible for organizational or corporate communication including managers who wish to strengthen their ability to manage communication strategically and leverage traditional, digital, and social media to strengthen relationships with stakeholders, customers, and other key groups.

Applicants who do not have the formal academic education to qualify for admission may be assessed on the basis of both their formal education and their informal learning, in accordance with the Flexible Admission Policy.

Delivery Model

This program is delivered through our blended model which features a short introductory online period, a five-day on-campus residency and online course work.     • Minimum required score (Grade B2):

      C1 Advanced is a Cambridge English Qualification. It reports on the Cambridge English Scale between 142 and 210. You will receive a separate score for each of the four skills (reading, writing, listening and speaking) and for Use of English. These five scores are averaged to give you an overall result for the exam. Universities and colleges may ask you to achieve a specific score, either overall or for a particular skill.

      Note: degree programmes and applications may require a more specific minimum score for admission.

      PTE Academic (Pearson Test of English Academic) is a language test that enables students to demonstrate their writing, listening, speaking, and reading skills when applying to study in English. Delivered and marked by computer, it reports on a scale between 10 and 90.

    • Completion of a four-year (or comparable) undergraduate degree in a related field from a recognized post-secondary institution.
    • At least three years of related full-time work experience.

    Flexible Admission

    Applicants who do not meet the Standard Admission requirements will be considered for Flexible Admission and assessed as follows:

    • At least five years of related full-time work experience.
