The Master of Science in Business Administration at KU Leuven is a one-year Master’s programme taught in English with an international focus. The course is designed to prepare the student with academic knowledge as well as hands-on expertise, enabling success within growing international management positions.


The Master of Science in Business Administration at KU Leuven encourages you to compile a unique programme by choosing a track and two electives. Each track consists of three courses. The track and electives all help you to deepen and broaden your critical skill set. Additional courses on leadership skills, ethics, sustainability and corporate responsibility are also offered. Finally you will pursue your Master’s thesis.

General requirements

Admission to the Master's programme based on a foreign degree will be subject to verification of its equivalence to one of the above mentioned Flemish degrees.

  • Equivalence to a relevant Flemish degree will be based on assessment of the undergraduate degree, primarily with respect to the following
  • - students need a solid background in economics
  • - students need a solid background in research methods, mathematics and statistics
  • - students need a solid background in managerial skills (business projects etc.)
  • - students need a solid background in management courses.
  • Applicants are therefore required to submit transcript of records as well as course descriptions of the relevant subjects already taken

  • A GMAT/GRE-test result is to be included in the application. For the GMAT a minimum overall score of 620 is required. Alternatively, a GRE can be submitted with a minimum score of 153 on verbal reasoning and 156 on quantitative reasoning.
