Career opportunities
The MA course aims to support you in your journey towards professional arts practice or advanced arts research. Upon completing the course, our graduates go on to develop successful careers as visual artists or arts professionals. Many have won prizes, shown their work in international exhibitions, and continue to contribute to contemporary art production in a diverse range of settings.
The Fine Art graduates have gone on to develop artist-led studios and galleries, work in curatorial and educational roles around the world – both on a freelance basis and for major art institutions. The MA programme is also an excellent stepping stone to continue further study towards a PhD qualification in fine art or related fields at Leeds or at another institution. You could also choose to enter education-related roles and pursue teaching in the subject area of your interest.
