Overview
NABA’s Academic Master in Creative Advertising explores how words, images and stories come together in advertising campaigns across different media. Taught in English at the Milan campus, this one-year programme combines creative advertising principles with hands-on experience developing ideas in response to real briefs.

- Advertising strategy and planning across channels
- Print, audio and video advertising
- Social media

Accreditation
NABA’s Academic Master qualifications are recognised by the Italian Ministry of University and Research (MUR), have full legal status and are equivalent to Italian first-level university master qualifications. The credits awarded can support further study at academies and universities in Italy and abroad, subject to each institution’s admission and credit recognition requirements.Programme Structure
The Academic Master in Creative Advertising combines theory with practical campaign development over one year, organised into two teaching cycles and a final project:
- First cycle: Students explore advertising principles and creative strategy, including the relationship between images and words. Art direction and audiovisual production sit alongside the sociology of cultural processes, digital technologies and new media, building an understanding of how ideas work across different channels.
- Second cycle: Intensive workshops with leading companies and industry professionals put this knowledge into practice. International creative competitions provide further opportunities to apply their skills, while an internship introduces students to the professional environment.
- Final project: Students develop a communication project or advertising campaign in response to a brief selected from options proposed by the faculty.
Audience
This course is aimed at graduates who want to pursue a creative role in advertising. It suits those drawn to the power of words or images, with an interest in developing campaign ideas and an appetite for practical work on briefs, whether their ambitions lie in copywriting, art direction or strategic planning.
