Overview

In terms of social competences, the graduate will be ready to follow the principles of medical ethics, critically evaluate the results of scientific research, recognise the role of knowledge in the work of a physician while critically assessing their own knowledge and skills, demonstrate readiness to seek expert opinions in difficult cases, establish and maintain deep and respectful contact with patients, and show understanding of cultural differences.

Career:

Studies in the Medical programme at WSB University last six years and lead to the award of the professional title of physician. The diploma, together with the diploma supplement, are documents that open the door to starting a postgraduate internship, which is the first stage after studies involving practical work with patients.

To begin the internship, it is necessary to obtain a limited licence to practise medicine (OPWZ). For this purpose, one should contact the appropriate Regional Chamber of Physicians – preferably the one in which the internship is planned. Information about the required documents and deadlines is also available at provincial offices in the health departments.
