Overview

The Creative Writing course from SRH University enables you to develop your own artistic voice while expanding your understanding of writing as a form of research, creative practice and social engagement. The two-year programme is a collaboration between four renowned European institutions: SRH University of Applied Sciences (Berlin), ArtEZ University of the Arts (Arnhem), Escuela de Escritores (Madrid) and Scuola Holden (Turin).

Career

As a graduate of the European Master Creative Writing, you will gain a strong understanding of literary processes and develop a distinctive international profile. You may explore new narrative forms, produce your own publications or curate literary programmes.

Your expertise in narrative research, intercultural collaboration and creative practice prepares you for a wide range of career paths — from working as an independent writer to roles in publishing, as well as projects at the intersection of art, media and society.

Programme Structure

The programme focuses on artistic research, European literary theory and experimental writing practice. You will work on your own creative project, receive extensive feedback and further develop your narrative approach — from traditional prose to digital formats.

Around 30% of the programme consists of seminars and workshops, while 70% is dedicated to individual artistic work.
