General requirements

On successful completion of the PgCert Into Headship and on appointment to a headship post, you have the opportunity to undertake the PgDip In Headship, which will incorporate your certificate courses. You will take two core courses and one optional course.

You require:

A degree or equivalent qualification in Education or a related field.

A teaching qualification and full GTCS registration.

Experience in a senior leadership role.

Successful outcome at interview with the local authority and university partners.

A reference from your employer which endorses and supports your application and demonstrates that you have access to a suitable workplace environment.

You also need to be in a Headteacher position.
