Overview
This Postgraduate Certificate in Primary Teaching leading to Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) at Kingston University will give you the training you need to become a primary teacher. Many graduates also go on to management roles, or even to progress their studies in further education.During the course, you’ll learn through a mix of taught subject days and school experience. When you graduate, you’ll have both Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a PGCE – everything you need to progress to the next stage in your professional development as an Early Career Teacher (ECT).

General requirements
- To apply for this course, you’ll need a 2:2 or above honours degree from a higher education institution – or an equivalent overseas qualification.
- You’ll also need three GCSEs at grade C/4 or above, in English, mathematics and a science subject. If you do not have GCSEs in English, mathematics and science, you can take your tests externally via ET Equivalency Testing or A Star Equivalency.
