General requirements

Bachelor’s degree either majoring in Economics or Minoring in Economics with accreditation in core economics courses such as Microeconomics and Macroeconomics and at least one of the following Quantitative Courses: Linear Algebra, Calculus, Statistics Econometrics.

All applicants are required to pass the nationally administered GAT and department-level entrance exams. Only candidates who pass the GAT will be eligible to sit for the department-level entrance exams. Admission will be based on: undergraduate Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) 30% weight and with Departmental Entrance Exam,70% weight.
Applicants with a BA in other than majoring or minoring to economics disciplines shall audit courses and attend lectures with instructor approval, but these will not be graded. Female applicants are strongly encouraged to apply. To encourage female participation, female applicants receive an additional 5% in the admission scoring
