Mining Geology from RUDN University has an interdisciplinary approach to teaching and contains three training modules, including disciplines and research work, and implemented simultaneously at RUDN University and a partner university

- The profession of a geologist in the field of mining geology is the key to the successful development and optimization of the extraction of mineral resources.
- The development of solid mineral deposits plays an important role in many countries, the issues of studying geological factors and parameters (spatial-morphological, volumetric-qualitative, hydrogeological and engineering-geological), which determine the possibility, expediency and conditions for the industrial development of geological objects, are relevant and significant.
- The professional scope of activity is diverse: from the creation of three-dimensional models on a computer and the processing of geological, geophysical and hydrogeological information to field work or work in scientific laboratories.
