Key facts
The EGEI program meets an increasing demand for graduates who have the skills to analyze issues of globalization and economic integration competently, and make relevant policy or strategic recommendations in the public and private sectors. Global events such as the Great Recession, trade wars, Brexit, … have taught us to rethink current processes of integration, and to support and improve the mechanisms of globalization. This program not only offers training in economics but also a solid knowledge of the international law that regulates global interactions, the theory and practice of international business, and other key economic agents acting in the global economy. EGEI encourages you to think independently, to develop an entrepreneurial spirit and to be critical. In addition, the program draws attention to the broader social consequences of economic policies, such as their effects on migration, inequality and the environment. You will get a full-immersive study experience in a truly global environment as you will have to interact with people with different cultures and backgrounds, and live in different countries during the two-year program. EGEI is jointly offered by a consortium of eight institutions in Bari (Italy), Ghent and Brussels (Belgium), Santander (Spain), Lille (France), Tartu (Estonia), Xiamen (China), and Valparaiso (Chile). You will take classes in at least three different countries during the four terms.
