General requirements

One of the following qualifications on NQF level 8:

the MBChB degree;
a four-year bachelor’s or an honours degree in a neuroscience, social sciences (e.g. Psychology) or health sciences related discipline (e.g. Genetics, Physiology and Biochemistry);
an engineering degree (e.g. biomedical or computer engineering).

If you have a BTech qualification:

you will be considered for admission if you have passed the BTech degree with a minimum final mark of 60%; and
then you will be admitted if you pass a preliminary examination in the relevant field of study, as determined by the Postgraduate Programme Committee, with a minimum examination mark of 60%.
