Sustainable Urban Planning from The Chinese University of Hong Kong focuses on the social, humane, ecological, smart and sustainable

dimensions of urban planning.

Our Programme will be more social science-oriented and inter-disciplinary in nature. It creates synergy with urban design, landscape architecture, geoinformation science and smart cities. Our students will have plenty of opportunities to co-learn with fellow students in different disciplines and various stakeholders outside the university to resolve various urban issues in a comprehensive and holistic manner. This is something few planning schools can offer in their curriculum.
The objectives of the Programme is to train urban planners who are competent in analysing the multi-scalar and multi-dimensional spatial development challenges and developing context-sensitive ‘planet, place and people friendly’ solutions through inclusive and creative planning processes.
