Overview

NABA’s Academic Master in Screenwriting for Series connects the craft of screenwriting with the development of contemporary series. Taught in English at the NABA Rome campus, this one-year programme combines theory and practical projects to help students identify compelling themes and develop narratives for national and international productions.

Students critically analyse existing scripts and explore how contemporary subjects translate into audiovisual stories. This work informs their own writing, building their ability to approach personal and commissioned projects independently and collaborate in a writers’ room, where writers work together on a series.

Upon successful completion, graduates receive a First Level Academic Master Degree worth 60 CFA credits.

Accreditation

NABA’s Academic Master qualifications are recognised by the Italian Ministry of University and Research (MUR), have full legal status and are equivalent to Italian first-level university master qualifications. The credits awarded can support further study at academies and universities in Italy and abroad, subject to each institution’s admission and credit recognition requirements.
