Overview

The Master of Arts in Digital and Live Performance at the NABA Milan campus explores how live performance can evolve through the creative use of technology. Taught in Italian or English, this two-year programme connects contemporary dramaturgy with physical practice, bringing interaction and sound design into the development of multidisciplinary performances.

Students investigate the relationship between bodies and digital media, developing the methods needed to move from artistic research to performance production. Contemporary dramaturgy provides a framework for shaping work for the stage, while multimedia experimentation opens up different ways of working with movement and space.

The course helps students develop their own creative voice while understanding how performance is produced and circulated. The course awards a Second Level Academic Degree in New Technologies for Art and carries 120 CFA credits.

Accreditation

NABA’s Master of Arts programmes award Second Level Academic Degrees recognised by the Italian Ministry of University and Research (MUR). These qualifications have full legal status and are equivalent to the corresponding university degrees. The academic credits awarded can support progression to further study at academies and universities in Italy and abroad.
