Furthermore, while it is often said that "mathematics is the language of natural science," it has developed in a more fundamental sense, deeply connected to "physics," "biology," "astronomy," "chemistry," and even "computer science," "engineering," and "social sciences." They want to pay attention to this tradition as well. Therefore, they would like to consider collaborative research with other fields, sometimes even going beyond the framework of the "current mathematics department."

The Department of Mathematics, Faculty of Science, Kobe University, warmly welcomes not only students who excel in mathematics, but also motivated students who may not be particularly strong in mathematics but are interested in the study of numbers and space.
