Geoenvironmental Rehabilitation of Degraded Areas from Nova University of Lisbon promotes the sustainable and resilient requalification of urban, industrial, and mining areas, responding to the current challenges of environmental management and recovery of degraded areas, in line with European and international guidelines for sustainability and societal well-being.

Career opportunities
- Consulting and services in the Geoenvironmental area, for the assessment and management of contaminated soils and waters;
- Consulting services for real estate management projects, including the assessment and management of potentially contaminated sites;
- Monitoring and preparation of studies for the licensing of works on potentially contaminated urban and industrial land.
- Responsible for geophysical and mechanical prospecting campaigns, field tests, and sampling (in the context of geoenvironmental studies);
- Experience working in national and international institutions, including leading organizations in public policy development, research, and environmental regulation;
- Central, regional and local administration in the areas of land use planning, urban planning, contaminated site management, environmental liabilities, inspection, project evaluation and sustainable development;
- Higher education and scientific research/continuing doctoral studies.

- Holders of a Bachelor's degree of the 1st cycle, or equivalent, containing 120 credits in the Mathematics and Statistics fields;
- Holders of a foreign degree, or equivalent, in the same scientific area conferred following the 1st cycle of studies according to the Bologna Process;
- Holders of a foreign academic degree in required area recognized as meeting the objectives of the Bachelor´s degree by the Scientific Council of the FCT NOVA.
- Holders of an academic, scientific or professional curriculum that is recognized as attesting the capacity to carry out a referred cycle of studies by the Scientific Council of the FCT NOVA;
- Possible interview;
- Possible Admission Test.
