The CHARM-EU Joint Master’s Programme is both a professional stepping stone and a life-changing experience: you gain global skills with an intercultural and multidisciplinary perspective, while facing real-life sustainability challenges. Throughout the programme, students learn within an international network of research hubs comprising local scientists. teachers, experts and external stakeholders. Working on complex issues will enable you to establish links with businesses and society, collaborate with companies and institutions around the world, and boost your employability in the field of sustainability.
This program is also a unique opportunity to obtain a master’s degree jointly awarded by nine CHARM-EU partner universities from 8 European countries: the University of Barcelona (Spain), Eötvös Loránd University (Hungary), Trinity College Dublin (Ireland), Utrecht University (the Netherlands), the University of Montpellier (France), Åbo Akademi University (Finland), the University of Würzburg (Germany), Hochschule Ruhr West (Germany) and the University of Bergen (Norway).

Among other roles, they work as consultants, project managers, administrators and researchers, in organizations such as educational institutions, energy firms, government bodies, consultancies, urban mobility initiatives, environmental organizations, non-profits, media, and urban development projects.

- To hold a bachelor’s degree or recognized equivalent to a bachelor’s degree from a country in the EHEA (European Higher Education Area) and which is recognized as a sufficient qualification for admission to a master’s degree (EQF level 6 or higher).
- To hold a bachelor's degree or equivalent obtained outside of the EHEA (European Higher Education Area), which is a recognized degree in the relevant foreign educational system and which is recognized as a sufficient qualification for admissions to a master's degree. The recognition of the degree only serves the admissions to this Master’s programme and does not imply official recognition of the previous qualification or recognition for any other purpose.
